Hougen–Jensen Prize

The Hougen–Jensen Prize honors the legacy of two outstanding scientists in the field of molecular spectroscopy, Jon T. Hougen and Per Jensen, whose pioneering theoretical and methodological contributions have profoundly shaped modern spectroscopy.

  • must be the primary (first) author of the work being presented
  • should assume the sole responsibility for the oral presentation
  • must not be older than 35 years (at the time of the meeting)
  • should either be preparing a PhD thesis
  • or have been awarded the degree within the last 24 months (at the time of the meeting)

Students or young researchers who want to submit their talk into the competition for the PRAHA2026 Plíva Prize should indicate this intention by selecting the appropriate option during the abstract submission.
