The conference concert will take place in the historic Magna Aula of the Karolinum, Charles University, on Thursday, September 3, at 19:30. During the evening, the Plíva Prizes will be awarded. This year’s musical programme will be performed by the Prague Philharmonic Children’s Choir, one of the most renowned Czech choral ensembles. Founded in 1932 by choirmaster Jan Kühn, the choir became part of the Czech Philharmonic in 1952 and remained under its auspices for the following four decades.

Today, the choir enjoys an outstanding international reputation and has performed not only throughout Europe but on all five continents. During its long and distinguished history, it has recorded more than 50 CDs featuring both Czech and international repertoire. The concert offers conference participants a unique opportunity to experience a first-class musical performance in one of Prague’s most prestigious historic venues.

Following the concert, all conference participants are warmly invited to a Post-Concert Wine Reception in the Karolinum.

Guests will be welcomed with a glass of Prosecco, a selection of wines, and light refreshments. The reception will provide an excellent opportunity to meet colleagues, continue discussions in an informal atmosphere, and enjoy the unique surroundings of one of Prague’s most distinguished historic venues.
